Golf Tournament a Success
On Thursday June 22 the Strathcona Community Hospital Foundation held its first annual golf tournament at the Broadmoor Golf Course in Sherwood Park. The tournament saw 108 golfers and of course the many volunteers required to run such an event.
“We believe we had a very successful tournament for our first and look forward to making it bigger and better for next year.” Said Peter Scott, Vice Chair and Tournament Organizer. “The course was in fantastic condition and that combined with great food and of course the people who attended made for a wonderful day.”
The tournament had exceptional sponsorship that can be seen in the acknowledgement below this article.
The Title Sponsors were quick to step up for a 3 year commitment to get thing moving in a positive direction. “At Qualico Communities we believe in not only providing outstanding developments and homes for our residents but also in supporting groups such as the Hospital Foundation who are an important part of making our communities complete.” said Brad Armstrong, Vice President at Qualico Communities.
Richard Gauthier, Owner, and the Sawmill Prime Rib and Steakhouse group were the other Title Sponsor for the event. When asked why they were interested in this event Richard said “We believe in community and believe in supporting worthwhile endeavours that make this community the best place to live. Many people in the community are touched by the important work the Hospital does and supporting the Foundation will only make it better for all.”
Our Vision is straight forward; “We provide and accelerate optimal health care and services for our community.”
We are looking forward to the continued support of the Foundation and its goal to raise funds through donations and events like the golf tournament to provide needed equipment, programs and training to elevate care to a higher level for all Strathcona County and area residents.
If you wish to donate, you can do that right here on our website.
See you at the Golf Tournament next year!
